The card reader transmits the wireless signal back to the controller, which is processed, error-detected and converted into a digital signal by the controller, and then sends the digital identification number (ID) to the microprocessor for decision making. The inductive technology or radio frequency identification technology used in the system is a method of reading the information on the card without direct contact between the card and the card reading device. With an inductive card reader, there is no longer any wear on the card and card reader due to contact friction.
