Contrast test of Boshan selenium-enriched yeast and sodium selenite mice
First, the purpose of the test
The effects of selenium-enriched yeast and sodium selenite on blood selenium content and muscle selenium deposition rate in mice were compared, and the feasibility of evaluating the animal model as selenium-enriched yeast was evaluated.
   Second, materials and methods
Experimental animals and group selection: Select 4-5 weeks old, similar weight (about 20g), good health status of 40 mice, three treatment, a treated control group (no added Se diet), selenium enriched yeast ( Jiaboshan Se 0.2mg/kg diet) treatment of 3 replicates, 6 replicates per trip , inorganic selenium treatment (addition of sodium selenite Se 0.2mg/kg diet) 3 replicates, 6 replicates each (use of animal purchase Since Zhongshan University). Test animal feeding management: feeding method: free feeding and drinking. Feeding time: On August 25 , mice were purchased and the control and test diets were started; 9.27 days of feeding ended for a total of 32 days. Feeding environment management: The experimental culture environment is aseptic culture, and the air conditioner is controlled at 25 °C . The padding was changed once a day to ensure that the environment inside the cage was clean. The health status of the mice was observed every day, and the rats were found to be isolated in time. Feeding location: Experimental Animal Room of Guangzhou Science City.
  Third, the experimental results
Body weight: There was no significant difference in appearance, mental state and body weight between the groups during the feeding period (Fig. 1). The control group began to have larger individuals, and the body weight was also too large at the end. The results are shown in Table 1.
Determination of selenium content in blood of mice: 1 ml of anticoagulant (heparin anticoagulation) was taken in a beaker, mixed acid was added in proportion, digested in an electric furnace, and detected by an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The results are shown in Table 2.
