Dashan BPA plant continued to stop

The bisphenol A plant of Korea's LG Chemical Co., Ltd. located in Dasan continued to stop. The plant's production capacity was 150,000 tons/year, and the planned restart was postponed to the end of April, mainly due to the downstream demand and the weak export market. Prior to this, it was stopped for maintenance in mid-February and the original plan was to restart at the end of March.

According to statistics from the Customs, the imports of bisphenol A in Korea in January and February were 21,908.12 tons and 8,151.742 tons respectively, and it is expected that the import volume of bisphenol A in the country will remain low in March and April.
