EIA raises global oil demand growth forecast for the next two years

According to an overseas report from New York City, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) has raised its forecast for global oil demand growth for the first time since last October and expects the global market to tighten further due to the reduction in oil production by non-OPEC oil-producing countries.

In its February short-term energy outlook report, the U.S. Bureau of Energy Information reported that its forecast for global oil demand growth this year has increased by 50,000 barrels per day to 1.32 million barrels per day over the previous month’s forecast. At the same time, the US Energy Information Administration also raised its forecast for global oil demand growth next year. It is expected that global oil demand will increase by 20,000 barrels per day to 1.49 million barrels per day next year.

This is the first time in the past four months that the US Energy Information Administration has increased its forecast for global oil demand growth.
