From January to July, the output of primary form plastics increased by 4.2% to 49.95 million tons.

Among the main products, ethylene production was 10.45 million tons, down 2.6%. The output of plastics in the primary form was 49.95 million tons, an increase of 4.2%; the output of synthetic rubber was 3.33 million tons, an increase of 5.6%; the output of synthetic fibers was 27.42 million tons, an increase of 4.3%. The output of caustic soda was 20.3 million tons, an increase of 4.5%; the output of soda ash was 15.59 million tons, an increase of 5.6%. The output of chemical fertilizers was 39.71 million tons, a decrease of 5.4%. Among them, the output of nitrogen fertilizers decreased by 10.4%, and the output of phosphate and potassium fertilizers increased by 4.5%. The pesticide output was 2.15 million tons, down 4.4%. The output of rubber tires was 566.81 million, an increase of 6.5%. The output of calcium carbide was 15.36 million tons, an increase of 4.6%.

In July, the added value of the chemical industry increased by 2.1% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped by 6.7 percentage points year-on-year. Among the main chemical products, ethylene production increased by 1% year-on-year. The output of plastics and synthetic fibers in primary form increased by 2.6% and 4.6% respectively, the output of synthetic rubber decreased by 0.4%, the output of caustic soda increased by 0.7%, the output of soda ash increased by 9.2%, and the output of chemical fertilizer decreased. 6.2%, of which nitrogen fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer decreased by 9.8% and 2.3% respectively, potassium fertilizer production increased by 9.9%; pesticide production decreased by 5.9%; rubber tire casing output increased by 0.3%; calcium carbide production increased by 0.5%.

Among the key chemical products monitored, the price of some products rose from last month. In July, the average price of caustic soda (salt alkali) was 3,810 yuan / ton, up 4.4% from the previous month, up 78% year-on-year; soda ash 1720 yuan / ton, down 1.1% from the previous month, up 17.8%. Urea 1630 yuan / ton, down 0.6% from the previous month, up 30.4%; domestic diammonium phosphate 2370 yuan / ton, down 5.6% from the previous month, down 8.8%. Calcium carbide 2560 yuan / ton, up 5.3% over the previous month, up 20.2%.
