Heilongjiang will focus on promoting the transformation and upgrading of metallurgical building materials industry in 2012

Recently, the reporter learned from the Heilongjiang Provincial Industrial and Information Committee that around Heilongjiang Province's "Top Ten Key Industries" construction, this year Heilongjiang Province will focus on promoting the transformation and upgrading of the metallurgical building materials industry, highlighting the technical transformation of steel and cement industry, eliminating backwardness and mergers and acquisitions. We will accelerate the construction of graphite and molybdenum industrial parks and the intensive processing of their products, and strive to achieve a sound and rapid development of the raw material industry. In 2011, Heilongjiang Province's raw material industry accelerated the construction of key industries, key parks and key projects. Heilongjiang Province's metallurgy, building materials and new materials industries all achieved rapid growth. The metallurgical industry realized a total industrial output value of 41.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.2%, and realized profits and taxes of 2.04 billion yuan. The output of steel products was 5.966 million tons, an increase of 5.4%. The building materials industry realized a total industrial output value of 42.6 billion yuan, an increase of 46.2%, and a profit and tax of 6.48 billion yuan. The cement output was 42.391 million tons, an increase of 23.1%. The new materials industry realized a total output value of 46.2 billion yuan and realized profits and taxes of 3.7 billion yuan. This year, Heilongjiang Province will continue to use the advantages of border development to develop the steel industry. Explore with relevant departments to expand the exploration scope of iron ore resources in Heilongjiang Province, effectively develop and utilize iron ore resources, and meet the needs of steel enterprises in the province. In response to the demand for steel products by key equipment enterprises in Heilongjiang Province, we will do a good job in research and development of new products and strengthen scientific and technological cooperation. The three key industries in the raw material industry – the steel industry, the graphite industry and the ceramics industry – have all been included in the national “12th Five-Year” development planning industry layout. This year, Heilongjiang Province will focus on this and promote the development of a number of new materials industries. The demonstration bases and parks will speed up the cultivation of a number of new materials enterprises with strong driving ability and outstanding comparative advantages. Support steel and cement enterprises to implement strong alliances, cross-regional mergers and acquisitions, increase industrial concentration, and promote industrial structure optimization and upgrading. The cement industry will accelerate the development of new dry-process cement, increase the proportion of bulk cement, and continue to do the same amount of replacement work for new dry-process cement and grinding stations. The graphite industry further integrates resources, transforms development methods, and limits and reduces the number of original products. Strive to upgrade graphite to the national strategic resource level for supervision. The molybdenum industry relies on the construction of the processing industrial park in Yichun City, and gradually increases the output of intensive processing products and high-end products.
