It successfully adjusted the ceramic industry and made the ceramic industry from a single source. The main focus of production is on commerce, R&D, machinery, and headquarters.

Tang Xuming, mayor of Nanzhuang Town, said that the current achievements of the adjustment of the ceramic industry are only the first step in transformation and upgrading. Nanzhuang has built a total area of ​​more than 5,000 acres, including China Ceramics Expo City, China Ceramics Headquarters, China Ocean International, etc. China's largest ceramic headquarters base and trade and distribution center. Tang Xuming revealed that Nanzhuang will plan to build a road linking Nanzhuang Bridge and Jihua Road. As a result, Huaxia Ceramic Expo City located in Nanzhuang South Zone will be connected with China Ceramics Headquarters Base and China Ocean International located on Jihua Road in the North Area, creating a “golden triangle” for high-end ceramics industries.

Ding Li, director of the Guangdong Provincial Academy of Social Sciences Competitiveness Research Center, appreciates this move by Nanzhuang. He said that Nanzhuang’s transformation and upgrading path did not introduce new industries out of thin air, but instead used the coupling with the original industries to extend the ceramic industry to the entire industrial chain.

The industrial transformation and upgrading of Dongrong Xihe Nanyou Beituo to build a new city has transformed the economic development structure of Nanzhuang, and has also opened the door to building an ecologically livable city in Nanzhuang. At present, a series of ecological reconstruction projects represented by the Green Island Lake are in full swing in Nanzhuang.

Tang Xuming said that road construction projects in a series of provinces, cities, districts, and towns have been successively rolled out in Nanzhuang, including Guangming Expressway, Foshan Huanhuan Expressway Nanzhuang Section Fudao Road, Jihua Road West Extension Line, Kuiqi Road West Extension Line, and Le Road reconstruction, Longwan Bridge and so on. Upon completion of the above projects, Nanzhuang will build a transportation network extending in all directions.

Tang Xuming said that in the future, Nanzhuang will optimize the layout of urban functions. In the north area, it will use the Green Island Lake as the center to create an urban ecological recreation space; the central area will use the Geely River as the axis to create the center of Nanzhuang City; and the east and the Yuan and Dongcun areas will be the cities. The western region will focus on the establishment of Luonan and Longjin Districts. With the help of the famous West Hill effect, the “Three Olds” transformation will be implemented to develop a region of both sides of the Yangtze River and create a new pattern of integration of landscape and east and west, and in the south, the second phase of Huaxia Ceramics Expo City. The expansion of the Geely Industrial Park into a platform has driven the development of the neighboring river pits and villages and strengthened the connection with the Foshan New City.

As a result, Nanzhuang’s urban construction will blossom in all directions, and it will be different from the general urban concentration of financial resources to create urban centers.

“Don’t urbanize for urbanization. Nanzhuang can take the initiative to create a city without a center.” Ding Li said that Nanzhuang has a unique geographical location. It is located in the center of Chancheng City to the east, Foshan New City to the south, and the west of the South China Sea.
