2. Structural features
The HDT sharpening machine is mainly composed of a base, a longitudinal and horizontal working table, a main shaft, a clamping portion, a grinding head and the like.
(1) base
It is the basis of the whole grinding machine. In order to reduce the weight of the sharpening machine, the base is made of aluminum alloy with a lighter weight. The total weight of the sharpening machine is only 70kg.
(2) Vertical and horizontal workbench
The end mill sharpening is inseparable from the longitudinal and transverse feed movements. The HDT sharpener has a longitudinal table (stroke 75mm) and a transverse table (stroke 150mm). The dovetail guide and the threaded screw feed are adopted in the structure, and the vertical and horizontal table movements are realized by rotating the feed hand wheel. The hand wheel is marked with a tick mark, the circumference is equally divided into 100 grids, and the rice grinder is made of M20×2 precision thread. In order to eliminate the gap between the threaded screws and reduce the idle stroke of the feed handwheel during forward and reverse rotation, an open nut structure is adopted (as shown in the figure).
3). The clearance between the lead screw and the split nut is reduced by adjusting the tightening of the hexagon socket head screw, thereby eliminating the idle travel of the feed handwheel.

(3) Spindle
The spindle is one of the key components of the sharpener, and its accuracy directly affects the accuracy of the grinding tool. The sharpening of the end mill requires both the circular motion of the main shaft and the axial movement. The common bushing structure has the following contradictions: the spacing between the shaft and the bushing is small, the resistance of the shaft when moving in the bushing is large, creeping and crawling occur during the movement, which seriously affects the surface roughness of the tool; the shaft and the bushing The gap is large, although the motion resistance is reduced, but the required accuracy cannot be maintained. The HDT sharpener spindle adopts the aerostatic bearing technology (Figure 4).
The main shaft and the sleeve adopt a small clearance fit, and a plurality of vents are uniformly left outside the sleeve to communicate with the air guide groove of the inner wall of the sleeve. Each ventilation duct is equivalent to a throttle valve, and usually the main shaft is centered in the sleeve When the gas enters at a constant pressure ps, the gas pressure will drop to p due to throttling, the air pressure around the main shaft will be equal, and the circumference will be subjected to equal pressure.
