Digital manufacturing is a product manufacturing process completed in a digital space established through digital description of the actual manufacturing process. It is based on digital product model, process model, process model and enterprise resource model, with CAD and CAPP. , CAM, process simulation, etc. are tools to define and manage the digital product manufacturing process. Digital manufacturing involves multiple iterations of process-manufacturing/quality control-process-design, so it is important to monitor the entire iterative process and provide accurate and complete data for each link in a timely manner.

As an important part of digital manufacturing, CAPP is responsible for transforming product design information into manufacturing information. It relies on factors such as product design data and manufacturing resources, and directly affects product quality management, production management, and shop scheduling. How to effectively manage process data and process has always been a research hotspot. PDM has become an integrated framework for enterprise data and design development process management. This topic combines the actual needs of an enterprise's digital manufacturing, in-depth study of PDM/CAPP integration technology, and proposes an integration scheme based on integrated central model, and verifies its feasibility in practice.

Process design process analysis

In a discrete manufacturing enterprise, a typical process design process can generally be summarized as the process shown in FIG. It can be seen from Figure 1 that there is an inseparable internal relationship between products, processes, resources and production data in manufacturing enterprises. Each process/step in the process depends on the feature information of the component or the product structure information. Different processes/steps use different tools, clamps, quantities, auxiliary tools and equipment, and also need to generate different The NC code, in this way, uses process data as a link to connect products, resources, and production data to form a complex enterprise data network. The intrinsic link between these data needs to be considered during the process design process. At the same time, the process design process needs to be controlled, the authority of the process personnel and the different versions of the process documentation are managed. Therefore, the process design is not a simple job of flipping through the process manual, and then filling out the process card, but an extremely important organic component of the entire enterprise design, manufacturing, management and other activities. Correspondingly, the design and development of the process planning system should also be based on the global consideration of the product life cycle, redefining its functional scope and implementation method in the integration framework.

CAPP analysis in integrated environment

In recent years, as one of the enterprise information islands, CAPP has been expanding its functions to meet the needs of the process design process, as shown in Figure 2.

This CAPP system with complete functions, complete information and self-contained technology not only becomes the design platform of the process, but also has strong process data management functions. At present, most CAPPs in the market are developing in this direction, such as Tianhe CAPP and Daheng. CAPP, Axe CAPP, and CAPP Framework developed by Northwestern Polytechnical University. As a stand-alone process design and management system, such a design is certainly ideal. However, if CAPP is integrated into an integrated integration framework of enterprise design/manufacturing/management/management, the above advantages become barriers to integration, manifested as duplication of functions, data redundancy, information segmentation and closure. For example, CAPP's process control, process file version and security management functions are duplicated with PDM, and process resource management conflicts with ERP. User data, product design data, resource data, and quality data are all associated with other systems. And redundancy. Therefore, under the enterprise digital manufacturing environment with PDM as the information integration framework, the functional scope of CAPP should be reasonably defined. From the essence of process information and process activities, PDM/CAPP integration technology should be studied in depth.
