A few days ago, the Qinghai provincial government issued the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Major Breakthroughs in Geological Exploration" and strived to build Qinghai into a continuation base for important mineral resources in China in the 21st century through efforts of 5 to 10 years. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†period, 19 key metallogenic belts deployed in China and 47 pieces of self-initiated exploration areas launched in the first batch were in Qinghai. By 2015, Qinghai will strive to achieve major breakthroughs in the exploration of important mineral resources, basic geological surveys, and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.
