Shanxi 12th Coal Oil Production Project Planned Capacity Over 10 Million Tons

The reporter learned from the Chemical Industry Management Office of Shanxi Province on November 22 that the Shanxi Lu'an Group and the Jinmei Coal Group, which have completed demonstration projects, are aiming at large-scale and large-scale production. The total production capacity of the coal-to-oil projects proposed by the two companies in the 12th Five-Year Plan exceeded 10 million tons.

The 160,000-ton/year coal-based synthetic oil demonstration project of Shanxi Panan Group is the first project for the industrialization of coal indirect liquefaction independent technologies in China. On October 30 this year, coal-based synthetic oil co-produced low-carbonization technologies jointly developed by the Shanxi Luan Group, the Shanxi Coal Chemical Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Sinopec Synthetic Oil Co., Ltd. were identified. Currently, Chun'an Group has formed a series of internationally leading coal indirect liquefaction core technologies with independent intellectual property rights and has obtained more than 40 national patents.

According to the plan of Lu'an Group, by the year 2012, Lu'an Group will complete the construction of the first 3 million tons/year industrialized coal-to-oil plant with a single production capacity of 400,000 to 600,000 tons/year; 2012 to 2015 In 2005, the company completed the construction of a second 3 million tons/year industrial chemical plant. By the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the group will form a coal-to-oil production capacity of 7.41 million tons/year and a production (equivalent) of 5.71 million tons/year.

The coal-fired coal gasification (21.30, 1.32, 6.61%) technology adopted by the Jinmei Coal Group High* Anthracite Cleansing Project utilizes a 100,000-ton/year synthetic oil demonstration project. It is a coal-fired coalbed gasification technology with independent intellectual property rights in China. Use "three-high" inferior anthracite with high *, high ash and high ash melting point. In June last year, the project produced qualified gasoline and provided a means for the rational utilization of the “three high” poor quality anthracite coal.

During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, Jinmei Coal Group will build a 3 million-tonne/year coal-to-liquids project and build a large-scale, intensive, high-end coal energy and chemical industrial park featuring circular economy. The preparatory work has already begun.

Shanxi enterprises have a technological advantage to build 10 million tons of coal to make oil. The total investment of 4 billion yuan in the coal chemical technology research and development base has gathered 33 research and development companies and more than 20 research and development centers, covering the upstream, middle and lower reaches of the coal-to-oil industry. In addition, Shanxi coal-to-oil projects have matching coal mines, coal prices are lower than international coal prices, and there is ample room for profit; Shanxi Jincheng and other regions have guaranteed water resources and allow environmental capacity.
