Shanxi expected to produce 780 million tons of coal in 2011

The Shanxi Coal Mine Working Conference was recently held. The meeting revealed that Shanxi Province expected to produce 780 million tons of coal in 2011. At the same time, Shanxi will no longer increase the number of mines and will no longer increase the number of mine owners.

It is understood that the next two years will be the largest scale of mine construction and the highest investment intensity in the history of Shanxi Province. There are more than 600 coal mine projects under construction and newly started this year, involving more than 600 million tons of production capacity, which will be completed in the year. Invested 75 billion yuan, accounting for about 10% of the total planned investment in the province. Among them, Shanxi's coal industry invested 770 billion yuan in 2011, coal mines and non-coal projects invested 110 billion yuan, accounting for 1/7 of the province's investment.

The relevant person in charge of Shanxi Province stated that the coal mine industry in Shanxi will no longer increase the number of mines in the future and will no longer increase the number of mine owners. Coal mining enterprises under the provincial jurisdiction may not transfer the shares without authorization. Coal enterprises may not transfer coal resources without authorization, and may not subcontract or lease out the operating mines; in principle, the production period of transitional mines shall not be extended. It is worth mentioning that, as a hot topic of concern in the recent market, Shanxi Province proposes to further study the implementation of coal mining and gas extraction integration, promote the securitization of coal resources assets, coal products, and fiscal and taxation policies conducive to the development of coal recycling economy.
