Japan's Tungaloy (Headquarters: Sakai City, Fukushima Prefecture) has developed the CVD (chemical vapor deposition) material "T1215" for cast iron turning processing. From July 1st, 2016, it will be used for 16 models of replacement blades (pictured). The new material adopts special parent materials and coatings to meet the high-speed and high-efficiency machining requirements of ordinary cast iron and ductile iron.
The new material improves the adhesion between the base material and the coating, and suppresses abnormal damage such as film peeling. Compared with the conventional products, the aluminum oxide (Al2O3) coating increases the wear resistance during high-speed machining. In addition, the surface smoothing technology "PremiumTec" is applied to the coating to improve the roll-resistance and chipping resistance.
In terms of price, the square blade "SNGU1307ANEN-MJ T1215" with a cutting edge length of approximately 13mm is 2,279 yen (including tax), and the "TNGU120708PER-MJ T1215" triangular blade with a cutting edge length of approximately 12mm is 2,495 yen (tax included). 5. Passenger elevators cannot often be used as freight elevators, and no flammable and explosive products are allowed to be transported.
