The Regional Economic Department of the National Development and Reform Commission held a symposium on the preparation of the Central Plains Economic Zone in Beijing.
According to people involved in the symposium, the current "Zhongyuan Economic Zone Plan" has formed a draft for comments, and will issue a paper recently to solicit opinions from relevant state ministries and commissions and relevant provinces.
Yan Mingzhai, dean of the School of Economics of Henan University, said that the introduction of the plan will enable the provinces and cities in the Central Plains region to obtain more targeted regional development policies.
As an important area to undertake the transfer of domestic industries, the concept of revitalization of the Central Plains Economic Zone is expected to bring opportunities for enterprises in Henan.
The main body of the Central Plains Economic Zone is Henan Province.
