China needs to stand at the height of the national strategy, accurately identify battery trends in the international market, analyze the current state of market competition, fully analyze the strengths and weaknesses of China’s technology, and fully consider the advantages and disadvantages of international standardization, and delineate major technology fields to lock down major technologies. Tackling key projects, draw the roadmap for China's battery international standards, and build a roadmap implementation mechanism. According to the relevant requirements of IEC and other international standards organizations, actively submit standard proposals, conduct dynamic tracking, adjust response measures in a timely manner, and strive to win the right to speak in international standards.

Supply of raw materials. The restriction of raw materials will directly affect the cost of the battery, and thus affect the international competitiveness and sustainable development capabilities. According to relevant statistics, China's battery primary lithium raw material production accounts for 14% of global production, nickel production accounts for 4.5% of global production, manganese production accounts for 9.2% of the world, cobalt is almost dependent on imports. It is recommended to increase technology research and development on the one hand and improve raw material saving capacity ; on the other hand, it should establish good cooperation with countries rich in raw materials such as Australia, Chile, Canada, and Russia, and establish cooperative development mechanisms with resource-rich countries to ensure raw material supply. .

Reuse and recycle problems. Batteries contain lead, cadmium, and rare earths in the positive and negative electrode materials and electrolytes. Improper handling can cause environmental pollution. Recycling and recycling of storage batteries are both conducive to environmental protection and beneficial to the saving of raw materials and lower production costs. At present, China's system for the reuse and recycling of batteries needs further improvement. It is recommended that the state increase publicity efforts to increase public awareness of recycling and recycling of batteries ; through legislation, relevant enterprises should be encouraged to promote the recycling and recycling of storage batteries ; a paid recycling policy should be introduced, and battery recovery points should be set up in factories, office buildings, and residential areas.
