With the increasingly stringent national requirements for environmental protection, chromium-free aluminum processing has become an inevitable trend in the industry. In response to the government’s energy-saving emission reduction and industrial upgrading call, we will guide enterprises in upgrading their technology. The Nanhai Aluminum Profile Industry Association held the "Aluminum Profile Chromium-free Processing Technology Symposium" in Nanhai on August 6th. The meeting attracted more than 40 companies and attended a total of more than 100 participants. The conference invited domestic and foreign experts with years of experience in the chromium-free treatment of aluminum profiles, and introduced the relevant process technologies of chromium-free aluminum profiles at home and abroad to assist aluminum profile companies in solving practical problems. According to experts, chromium-free processing technology has been used in foreign countries for more than 20 years, and it has only begun to be promoted in China in recent years. Compared with chromating, chromium-free treatment does not contain hexavalent chromium, which is more in line with the requirements of environmental protection. However, at present, only a few aluminum plants in China use chromium-free processing technology. Cost and stability are the bottlenecks restricting the promotion and application of chromium-free technologies. There is still a lot of room for development in chromium-free processing technologies in China. The participating companies have a keen interest in chromium-free technology. The technical personnel of companies such as Jianmei Aluminum, Xingfa Aluminum, and Daming Aluminum have all published their own opinions on chromium-free technology, and put forward corresponding problems to communicate with experts.
