Liang Bin: This exhibition focused on exhibiting a super-high-performance tire new Wantu Shi S1 evo2 and two concept tires - "Wantu Shi Aero" and "smart tire." Wantu Shi S1 evo2 is a high-end product just listed, currently supporting the new BMW 3 Series. The Concept Tire is an outlook of Hankook for the development of future tires. Another concept tire is called "Wantu Shi AERO". Liang Bin: Hantai tire retreading business is currently planning in China.
Huang Qingyan: Retreaded tires are affected by policies in China and are now being explored.
Moderator: How did Hankook Tire sell last year?
Huang Qingyan: According to our own data, Hankook Tire sold 29 million pieces last year, including exports.
Moderator: What are the plans and strategies for the future?
Huang Qingyan: For the industry, I talk about the situation in China because Hankook is relatively early in China, and it is an opportunity for other foreign companies and domestic tire companies. The RE market, which may be said by many people, will research and develop some tires for personalities. Mr. Leung also said that the development of eco-friendly tires, as well as a tire that was launched last year, luxury comfort of the Mantos S1 noble, and then In the OE market, more than 20 auto brands have been supplied to the country. Huang Qingyan: I think that in the past 15 years, we have cultivated a more solid foundation for consumers. There is also a relatively high production capacity among the current foreign-made tires. There are now two factories. In July of this year, we will be the third in Chongqing, China. After the plant is put into production, the total production capacity in China will reach about 42 million. This means that the production capacity in China has exceeded the capacity of Hankook Tire in South Korea. At the same time, no matter in the sales channel or in research and development of this piece of Hankook tires, they have invested a lot of energy.
Moderator: What is the next marketing plan?
Huang Qingyan: It will enhance the cooperation in the racing events. The accumulated experience from this process can be applied to the development of tire technology. This is the main direction. At present, Chinese consumers have relatively insufficient awareness of tire maintenance awareness and quality. We will strengthen this. I think the most important thing is to tell consumers how to use the tire properly. What we are doing now is, for example, conducting tire free tests in various places on a regular basis, mainly targeting some trucks and buses. Huang Qingyan: Nowadays, passenger cars use a unified image and new channels have been adjusted and constructed. At present, there are 1,200 Hankide passenger car tire stores, which will increase to 1,500 stores in 2012.
Moderator: In terms of Hankook Tire, what do you think is the biggest challenge?
Huang Qingyan: I think the biggest challenge is still the channel. Now from an automobile market into an automobile society, the degree of privatization of cars is getting higher and higher, so everyone pays more and more attention to the post-market. Whoever dominates the market in this respect? Get ahead of the game. I think the channel is the biggest competition.
Moderator: What is the development trend curve of China's auto aftermarket?
Huang Qingyan: I think that we should develop from the former extensive type to the professional and detailed type of subdivision. There may be more companies doing some mergers and acquisitions. Moderator: What is the difference between China's tire market and overseas tire market?
Liang Bin: From a global perspective, foreign markets such as Europe and North America are relatively mature, and China presents a trend of diversified demand. China's geology and climate environment are quite different in various aspects, and the requirements are also diverse. So now we have developed targeted products specifically for the Chinese market.
The replacement market is in fact the same as the development of the automotive market. As mentioned earlier, Chinese consumers have diverse needs and the demand for tires is also different.
