The reporter learned from the symposium on stone industry in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held on December 16th: According to the “12th Five-Year Development Plan for Building Materials Industry of Autonomous Regionâ€, by 2015, Xinjiang stone production will reach 30 million square meters, with an average annual growth. 23.2%; stone processing output value reached 3 billion yuan, an average annual growth of 20%. It is planned to adopt the layout of core radiation plus local groups to further develop industrial clusters. It is understood that our district will take the autonomous regional parks such as Qishan Stone Park and Qitai Qiqi Stone Park as the core, and establish Xinjiang superior stone in Qitai, Hami, Heshuo, Wensu, Toli, Qinghe and Bole. The mining and processing bases of the varieties form a high-level stone industry cluster, build a circular economy demonstration zone, and rely on varieties, trade, display, and creative development to promote the comprehensive upgrading and development of the Xinjiang stone industry. Through the implementation of the “Twelfth Five-Year Planâ€, the comprehensive strength and competitiveness of the stone industry in our district have been significantly improved, and strive to promote the entry of Xinjiang stone into the second echelon of the Chinese stone industry team, becoming an important stone industry base in China.
